Durham man sought in apartment shooting

Durham police are seeking the public's help in finding 18-year-old Fabio Blanco, who is accused of a shooting a man at an apartment complex on Broad Street Wednesday night.

DURHAM, N.C. — Durham police are seeking the public's help in finding 18-year-old Fabio Blanco, who is accused of a shooting a man at an apartment complex on Broad Street Wednesday night. 

Blanco, of West Rockway Street, faces one count of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury. He is known to frequent the 1700 block of Hillcrest Drive and the 2100 block of Broad Street.

Officers responding to a shooting call at 2112 Broad Street around 11:15 p.m. Wednesday found a 25-year-old man with a gunshot wound outside Building E. He was taken to a local hospital and police said his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. 

Anyone with information on Blanco's whereabouts is asked to call police at (919) 560-4582 or Crime Stoppers at (919) 683-1200. Crime Stoppers pays cash for information leading to an arrest, and callers may remain confidential.
