A man died in a motorcycle crash in West Durham on Saturday morning.




<b>DURHAM, N.C.</b> — A man died in a motorcycle crash in West Durham on Saturday morning.

The crash happened at the intersection of Hillsborough Road and Fifteenth Street just before 1 a.m.

Kenneth Dean was going east on Hillsborough Road when he lost control of his Harley Davidson motorcycle on a curve and slid off the road, according to Durham police. Dean, 29, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The motorcycle ended up in a parking lot after the single-vehicle crash. Police believe speed was a factor.

The intersection was shut down for several hours as police investigated.
