U.S. Marshals with the Carolina Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested Henry, who is charged with murder, two counts of attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, assault with a deadly weapon and shooting into an occupied vehicle.
Henry also had prior charges of carrying a firearm as a convicted felon.
Many residents of the complex, as well as parents of UNC students, were concerned about the multiple shootings that had happened in recent weeks.
“Our officers and investigators have worked around the clock since this shooting occurred last week to bring some closure to Mr. Lee’s family and to reassure our concerned community.” said Chris Blue, Chapel Hill chief of police.
Henry is at the Orange County Detention Center, held without bond. He has a hearing scheduled for Oct. 24.
In a court appearance on Wednesday, Henry's lawyers asked for bond, but the prosecutor said he is a flight risk with four prior convictions. Henry also has outstanding charges in Wake and Durham counties. The judge decided not to allow Henry a bond.
Prosecutors say the maximum sentence on his murder charge is life without parole – or possibly the death penalty.
