DURHAM, N.C. — Durham police are investigating the second bank robbery in four days, and surveillance images appear to show the same suspect.

Police spokeswoman Kammie Michael said a man entered the BB&T Bank at 5028 N. Roxboro St. just before 2:30 p.m. Monday, handed the teller a note asking for money and intimated that he had a weapon.

A similar scene unfolded Friday at about 5:30 p.m. at a SunTrust bank about three miles away, at 3421 N. Roxboro St.

In both cases, a slim, black man with salt-and-pepper hair appears in surveillance images wearing large, dark sunglasses. In the images released Friday, he is wearing a black, leather bomber jacket and light pants. Surveillance images from BB&T show a similar man wearing blue pants and a black, hooded sweatshirt.
