A Durham bus driver was charged after crashing into a home on Sunday morning.

DURHAM, N.C. — A Durham bus driver was charged after crashing into a home on Sunday morning.

The crash occurred in the 500 block of Douglas Street. Police said a Go Durham bus went off the road and hit a parked car and front porch of a home. The crash happened around 11:20.

The bus driver, Lisa Cranford, was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. No one else was hurt. Police did not give details regarding the damage of the home.

Cranford was charged with failure to wear a seat belt, failure to reduce speed and an unsafe movement violation resulting in property damage.

The 500 block of Douglas Street was temporarily closed while police investigated.
