Durham Bulls plan 'Stranger Things' night
Things will be getting strange at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park on July 13.
Posted — UpdatedIn addition to the uniforms, look for references to the Upside Down, Christmas Lights, Demogorgons and waffles. There will also be a tribute to some of show's fallen characters. Fans are encouraged to dress up as their favorite character or wear 1980s-inspired clothing.
“'Stranger Things' is one of the country’s most popular shows right now, and it’s captured a very nostalgic piece of viewer’s hearts,” Durham Bulls Vice President Mike Birling said. “With the show’s popularity, its Durham ties and its endless creativity, we couldn’t wait any longer to host a night of this magnitude.”
The team's uniforms will be auctioned off throughout the night with proceeds will go to charity.
Since the event falls on a Friday night, fans will also be able to enjoy a special Friday Night Fireworks show with a 1980s soundtrack.
The Durham Bulls' season opener is Thursday, April 5, also against the Charlotte Knights. The night will also include giveaways and post-game fireworks.
