Duke Medicine: Teer House plans workshops on teen issues, active kids and skin cancer

Among the programs this month are three that might be of interest to parents. Here's what's scheduled:
- 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., June 14: Helping Your Teen Thrive (and not just survive): Listen to adolescent medicine specialist Dr. Richard Chung give tips on parenting, communication, and adolescent health issues. Get answers to your questions and concerns during this forum.
- 10 a.m. to noon, June 23 and July 21: Active Kids: Getting A Daily Dose of Fun: Learn tips, tools, and toys to help kids (and families) incorporate physical activity with healthy benefits. Kids and parents welcome. Come prepared to have fun and move! Kim McNally, a health fitness specialist and wellness coach, will lead the sessions.
- 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., June 28: Skin Cancer: An Ounce of Prevention: Explore types, risks, prevention tips, and treatment options for skin cancer. Led by Dr. Sarah Wolfe.
