DUDLEY, N.C. — The Wayne County Sheriff's Office on Friday asked residents of the Stevens Mill Road to be on the lookout for Darlene Wilson, a woman who has been missing for about a week.

Wilson, 50, was reported missing from her home at 200-C North Hereford Drive in Dudley last Friday. On Wednesday, the N.C. Center for Missing Persons issued a Silver Alert because Wilson did not have her medication.

At the time of her disappearance, Wilson was wearing a multi-colored, checked blouse and shorts and tennis shoes. She is described as a black woman about 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighing about 220 pounds. She has short, curly gray hair and brown eyes.

Deputies are investigating reports that Wilson was seen walking west on Five Points Road near the intersection of Woodland Church Road, and west on Stevens Mill Road towards the Johnston County line. Some reports have her wearing her sneakers tied together and looped over her shoulder.

Anyone with information about Wilson is asked to call Deputy Amy Walston at 919-731-1189 or the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office at 919-731-1480 or 919-731-1493.
