Drug bust in Hoke County leads to 2 arrests

On Friday, deputies with the Hoke County Sheriff's Office arrested two people after finding narcotics inside their home.

SHANNON, N.C. — On Friday, deputies with the Hoke County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man and woman after it was discovered that the man was selling narcotics from his home.

Suspect, Johnny Lee Scott, and two females were located inside a house located on Shankle Road in Shannon, when the search warrant was served.

Johnny Lee Scott was found to be in possession of crack cocaine, Adderall and Suboxone. Detectives also found drug paraphernalia, including several glass pipes and digital scales, throughout the residence.

Scott was arrested and held on a $100,000.00 secured bond at the Hoke County Detention Center.

One of the females, Amy Marie Peterson, was also arrested and held on a $2,000.00 secured bond at the Hoke County Detention Center.
