Driver sought in hit-and-run crash that injured moped rider in north Raleigh
Police were searching Friday for the driver who struck and injured the driver of a moped late Thursday night in north Raleigh.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Police were searching Friday for the driver who struck and injured the driver of a moped late Thursday night in north Raleigh before fleeing from the scene.
The crash occurred around 11 p.m. at Falls of Neuse and Newton roads when the unidentified driver of a gray car made a left turn onto Falls of Neuse Road and collided with a man on a moped.
The accident prompted police to close the road for several hours while they gathered clues.
The rider on the moped was rushed for medical care to a local hospital but their condition was not immediately available.
Anyone with information about the crash was asked to call Raleigh police.
