Driver killed in Fayetteville crash identified as missing man
A driver was killed when the vehicle they were in left the road and crashed down a ravine Tuesday afternoon in Fayetteville, police said.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A driver involved in a fatal crash in Fayetteville two weeks ago has been identified as a man previously reported as missing, police said Thursday.
Darryl Spencer Jr., 28, was reported missing by his family on Aug. 3.
Ten days later, a Chevrolet Trailblazer linked to Spencer crashed down a ravine off N.C. Highway 87 between Gillespie and Robeson streets in Fayetteville.
Police haven't disclosed what caused the crash, but they said the driver, who died at the scene, was Spencer.
