GARNER, N.C. — A 22-year-old man was charged with driving while impaired and reckless driving early Wednesday in a three-car wreck on Interstate 40 near Garner, according to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol.

Troopers said Meisen Li was weaving in and out of the westbound lanes near U.S. Highway 70 around 12:15 a.m. when he ran off the road to the right, struck a guard rail, over-corrected and then spun around.

A Sheetz van crashed into the front of Li's 2007 Sports Audi and then a Toyota Camry hit both vehicles.

Only Li was injured. He was taken to WakeMed, where he was listed in stable condition Wednesday morning.

No other information was released.
