A woman and a teenage boy were shot at the Travel Lodge on Cedar Creek Rd in Fayetteville shortly after 10pm. Multiple police cars remain on scene. No suspect in custody. Investigation underway.

Greensboro police issued an Amber Alert on Thursday for Kayson Osiah Monk, 9 months, who is believed to be with Deon Lamar Monk, 23. Police did not say how the two are related.

Raleigh police said that a man crashed into a telephone pole at Atlantic Avenue and Ingram Drive early Sunday.

<b>RALEIGH, N.C.</b> — Raleigh police said that a man crashed into a telephone pole at Atlantic Avenue and Ingram Drive early Sunday.

The driver was injured and taken to a local hospital, police said. They planned to charge him with driving while impaired once he was released.

Atlantic Avenue was closed for about an hour after the wreck.
