RALEIGH, N.C. — A Raleigh woman turning the corner drifted onto the shoulder on Barwell Road Saturday afternoon and rear-ended a boy on a bicycle, sending him to the hospital, troopers said.

Tyrin Stubbs, 16, was thrown from his bike when Nakesha White's Suzuki hit him near Rock Quarry Road. He had a head injury, a gash in his chest and several broken bones, according to the troopers on the scene. He was taken to WakeMed, where he was in critical condition Saturday night.

White, 21, could face criminal charges, police said, although none had been filed Saturday night.
