Driver dies in Moore County car fire

Robbins, N.C. — One person died early Tuesday after an SUV struck a tree and burst into flames outside of Robbins in Moore County.
The accident, on N.C. Highway 24/27, happened around 5:30 a.m.
The driver was trapped inside the Honda CRV. When fire units first arrived, the vehicle was fully in flames.
The driver had died by the time firefighters extinguished the blaze.
