ROSEBORO, N.C. — A man was arrested Sunday after authorities say he fled the scene of a fatal two-car wreck near Roseboro in Sampson County.

Tedrick Buie was charged with misdemeanor death by motor vehicle and reckless driving. More charges against him are expected, authorities said.

Two cars were driving near each other on N.C. Highway 242 when Buie lost control, went off the road, rolled down the embankment and overturned. The other car hit Buie's car, authorities said, and its passenger was killed.

Both drivers, who had minor injuries, left the scene. Names of the passenger and driver in the other car have not been released, but authorities said the two were siblings.

The other driver has not been charged.

No other details were released.
