Drive-by shooting injures elderly woman; Durham sheriff seeks suspect

The Durham County Sheriff's Office is looking for any suspects in a drive-by shooting on Friday night that sent an elderly woman to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

DURHAM, N.C. — The Durham County Sheriff's Office is looking for any suspects in a drive-by shooting on Friday night that sent an elderly woman to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

A 72-year-old woman, whose name was not released, was wounded while she was inside a home at 3017 Forrester St., according to the sheriff's office. The shooting happened at 10:14 p.m. At least two other relatives were also inside the home, but they were unharmed.

Detectives are asking for the public's help identifying any suspects in the case. Anyone with information should call the Durham County Sheriff's Office at 919-560-0900.
