DPAC ranked fifth in the nation for 2012

The Durham Performing Arts Center was recently ranked No. 5 in the nation based on attendance for 2012, according to a Pollstar report.

DURHAM, N.C. — The Durham Performing Arts Center was recently ranked No. 5 in the nation based on attendance for 2012, according to a Pollstar report. This marks the third consecutive year that DPAC has placed among the most attended theaters in the nation.

In 2012, DPAC held 204 performances, which drew over 425,000 guests. Wicked and Jersey Boys were the highest-attended shows.

DPAC features a large variety of shows, including musicals, comedy, concerts and TV personalities. The center is already starting 2013 off strong with Jekyll & Hyde, which runs through this Sunday, and Willie Nelson, who has one show on Friday, Jan. 18.
