Vandals broke dozens of pots, damaged a fountain and broke a sign in the Sarah P. Duke Gardens late Friday or early Saturday, Duke Police reported.

<b>DURHAM, N.C.</b> — Vandals broke dozens of pots, damaged a sculpture and destroyed a sign in the Sarah P. Duke Gardens late Friday, officials with the university said.

School officials weren’t sure who damaged the property, but said crews would be investigating and trying to determine the cost of the damage.

A wedding in the gardens was delayed about an hour Saturday as crews worked to clean up the mess, the school said.
