DURHAM, N.C. — Downed utility lines are blocking a busy four-lane road in Durham on Friday morning.

Lines are down across Fayetteville Street near Tralea Drive. Several police cars were at the scene blocking off traffic.

Durham police have blocked off a quarter-mile stretch of the road, directing traffic to go through neighborhood roads.

Some tire marks were visible on the road near the closure. A tree appeared to be down as well.
