DOT Truck That Helps Motorists Catches Fire

Durham, N.C. — A state Department of Transportation truck designed to help motorists on interstate highways needed some help of its own Tuesday afternoon.
The yellow pickup truck caught fire about 12:30 p.m. and burned along Interstate 40 near N.C. 751. Flames shot into the sky and black smoke poured from the burning vehicle.
No injuries were reported.
A DOT spokesman said the cause of the fire was not known.
