Photos posted to Twitter show a “Trump 2020” flag flying next to the North Carolina state flag and American flag on an Outer Banks ferry on Friday.
Andrew Barksdale, a spokesperson for the NCDOT, said they are working with the department’s Office of Employee Relations to investigate the matter and will take appropriate disciplinary action.
“Clearly, no matter one’s political affiliation, putting any sort of campaign material on a state-owned vessel is not appropriate,” Barksdale said.
