CHRIS WHAT IS THE LEAD RESEARCHER THAT TAKE SAMPLES IN HOPES OF FINDING TREATMENTS AND A VACCINE. RESEARCHERS TESTED WINSTON WHILE TESTING HIS FAMILY, THE MacLEAN'S I ALSO HAVE THE VIRUS. IT'S BELIEVED THAT THE DOG CAUGHT THE VIRUS FROM ONE OF THE PARENTS AND BOTH WORK IN THE MEDICAL FIELD. >> I DON'T WANT PEOPLE  TO BE CONCERNED ABOUT BEING INFECTED BY THEIR PETS. >> IS NOT LIKELY THAT  YOU CAN CATCH COVID-19  BUT IT IS NOT ENTIRELY OUT OF THE QUESTION FROM PETS. >> DOG SEEM FAIRLY RESISTANT AND THERE ONLY A FEW IDENTIFIED. >>  AN INFECTIOUS DISEASE SPECIALIST SAYS RESEARCH SHOWS CATS CAN AFFECT OTHER CATS. >> THEY CAN SPREAD IT CAT THE CAT AND THERE IS A CONCERN THAT THEY CAN SPREAD IT CAT THE PERSON IF WE HAVE CLOSE CONTACT. >> HOWEVER, BOTH EXPERTS AGREE THERE IS A MUCH GREATER RISK OF GETTING  TRANSFERRED FROM A PERSON THAN OUR PETS. WE SHOULD MENTION THERE IS NO DOCUMENTED CASE OF A PERSON GETTING COVID-19 FROM THEIR PETS. EXPERTS SAY THE BEST ADVICE  IS TO SOCIAL DISTANCE. YOU DO IT YOURSELF SO DO THE SAME WITH YOUR DOG. DON'T ALLOW YOUR DOG TO COME IN CONTACT WITH ANY OTHER PEOPLE OR DOGS AND IF YOU DO SO, YOU REDUCE THE CHANCE OF YOUR DOG BRINGING THAT VIRUS INTO YOUR HOME. >> ROSIE IS SUCH A GOOD DOG AND SITTING THERE BEHAVING SO WELL. I LOVE MY DOG AS WELL AND SO MANY OF US DO. HOW SIGNIFICANT ARE THESE FINDINGS? >> DR. WOODS TELLS ME  THAT THERE IS MORE STUNNING THAT IS TO BE DONE AND MORE TESTING THAT NEEDS TO BE DONE BUT THE RESULTS THEY FOUND ARE AN INDICATION THAT WE NEED TO LOOK AT THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN US AND OUR DOGS AND THIS VIRUS MORE CLOSELY. I'm meteorologist, Amy Wilmoth in the WRL severe weather center. Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there. If you want to maybe go out to eat, eat outside. It's beautiful to do that. 69 for brunch today. Plenty of sunshine at lunchtime. We're at 72 and then dinner time temperatures will be in the mid seventies so very nice weather. We do not expect any rain today, we'll have mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies for mother's day. High pressure settles in for the next couple of keeping the weather nice and quiet. But we will have another system arrive overnight Monday and especially into Tuesday, scattered showers and storms become likely Tuesday. It's a 70% chance for rain. A 60% chance for some showers and storms on Wednesday. So turning unsettled by the time we get to Monday night into Tuesday through the day today, we'll have mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies. Monday, we'll start off with sunshine at 8 a.m. but then the cloud move in the second half of the day. And then Monday night, some light rain starts to move in and by Tuesday morning, some light rain possible for the morning commute, we'll have some light scattered showers at lunchtime, we'll have some scattered showers. And then by the time we get to the afternoon we'll have scattered showers and perhaps some thunderstorms at this point, it doesn't look like we'd have any severe storms, but we'll keep checking on that and let you know if we do get in a severe storm risk. As of now, we're not in one, but it is going to be unsettled on and off throughout the day with scattered showers and thunderstorms. Today is nice for Mother's Day 79 for the high 81 Monday. So a little bit warmer and then scattered showers and storms Tuesday and Wednesday, Thursday. It's quiet with a high of 82 but we're back to some storm chances Friday and Saturday with highs in the upper seventies to low to mid eighties.
