RALEIGH, N.C. — Get ready to hit the dodgeball court for a great cause.
The annual Raleigh International Dodgeball Charity Challenge is seeking teams to compete in their annual event Saturday, Sept. 27. The event is a fundraiser for Magnus Health, which raises money to support a project that helps Wake County children with health needs.
The event will feature a 64-team tournament, live music, food and beer. It will be held outside Magnus Health HQ, which is at the intersection of West Martin and South Harrington streets in downtown Raleigh. Nearby streets will be blocked off for this family- and pet-friendly event. It is free to watch, and beer is available for $5 per cup or $25 for the entire day.

Thinking about entering a team? The details:

  • Maximum of eight players per team (six players on the court per game with two eligible substitutes)
  • Teams must be co-ed, with at least one female or one male per team
  • Registration is $500 per 6-person team and $750 per 7-person team
  • Each player receives a tournament t-shirt and sponsor swag

Prizes will be awarded to the winner of the dodgeball challenge and also the team with the best uniform.
