Raleigh's Dix Park will host a pop-up disc golf course through the month of September.

The temporary golf course features nine holes. And if you don't have your own discs, you can borrow them from park staff during these times:

  • 5:30 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 9
  • 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 19
  • 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Friday, Sept. 25

You can check out the equipment at hole No. 1, which is located near the Greenway Trail Head at Tate Drive.

A few rules if you go, according to the city's website:

  • Do not disturb plants, trees or wildlife.
  • Respect the rights of other park visitors walking through the course to not be hit by flying discs.
  • Wait to throw until all players have cleared the hole. Do not throw when another player is in front of you or not looking.
  • Limit groups to four players, if possible.
  • Faster players should be allowed to play through.
  • Dogs must be on-leash at all times. Please pick up after them.
  • Pack-out all trash and please pick up any litter you may see.
  • Follow all Raleigh Parks COVID-19 guidelines.
More information is on the city's website.
