Disneyland Is Donating Its Extra Food During Coronavirus Closure
If you need some good news surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, look no further than the most magical place on earth. After closing the doors to both Disneyland in California and Disney World in Florida on March 12, Disney has now announced that the excess food inventory from both Disneyland park
Posted — UpdatedSecond Harvest Food Bank of Orange County, California, will be the recipient of Disney’s donation of dairy, fruit, vegetables, packaged goods and banquet meals.
We have a feeling this will be a welcome donation at the food bank, which posted on Facebook last week, “we have already seen a steep increase in demand for food assistance.”
According to the blog post, last year, Disneyland Resort donated more than 20,000 meals to the same food bank and Disney VoluntEARS regularly volunteer there.
