Posted — UpdatedRALEIGH, N.C. — Beer lovers turned diaper donors Saturday at the annual World Beer Festival in Raleigh's Moore Square.
The annual event {{ahref="blogpost-13472156"}}showcases dozens of breweries and hundreds of beers{{/a}} and always draws a crowd. This year, those who brought a donation for the Raleigh Diaper Train could skip the line and get right to the tasting.
TriMark Digital set up a "Do Your Dootie" collection table, allowing anyone who brought a package of unopened diapers to get expedited entrance to the festival. A representative called the turnout "mind-blowing" and "amazing." TriMark shared video of volunteers packing a van with donated diapers.
Raleigh Diaper Train works with churches, businesses and schools to collect diapers, baby wipes and children's books and distribute them to needy families.
The World Beer Festival is one of dozens of beer-themed events across the state to mark NC Beer Month.
