— Cumberland County sheriff’s detectives are searching for a suspect in a weekend shooting.

Detectives said Sunday that Gregory Leon Manning, 39, was wanted in connection with the Saturday shooting of Michael Mabine, 39, of 313 Richmond Drive.

The pair began arguing about money at a home on 6110 Pine Street Court in Eureka Springs when Manning allegedly pulled a gun out of his pocket and fired shots at Mabine, detectives said.

Paramedics transported Mabine to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center where he was treated and released.

Detectives have issued a warrant of assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury against Manning.

Manning is described as 5 feet 9 inches tall, of medium build and weighing approximately 180 pounds.

He could be living in the McArthur or Rosehill Road areas, detectives said.

Anyone with information about Manning’s whereabouts is urged to contact the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office at 910-323-1500, or you can make an anonymous call to TIPSLINE at 484-TIPS (8477).
