Good afternoon. I'm meteorologist, Amy Wilmeth in the WRL severe weather center, the cold front that moved through yesterday that brought the rain, the wind, the severe storms and the damage that has moved away from us and a colder air mass is settling in. It's certainly a chilly day out there today. Many of you staying in the forties this afternoon, 48 for the high end Raleigh. It's also breezy at times making it feel even cooler. 47 for the high end Durham today and 50 for the high temperature in Fayetteville. Get ready for a cold night tonight. You'll want the winter gear stepping outside tomorrow morning. We're down into the twenties in most locations. 27 for the low in Durham, 28 in Raleigh, 27 in Rocky Mount and 27 in Lewisburg overnight. Tonight, down to the south, we'll get down to 29 in Irwin and Smithfield 29. The low temperature in Fayetteville down to 30 in Clinton. So again, it's going to be a cold start to the day, heading into Tuesday morning and this chilly air mass is here to stay for the next several days. We'll have some cold mornings. You can see the shades of blue remaining over North Carolina through the weekend. So cold mornings and cool afternoons in the forecast. A look at our morning lows over the next five days. The normal is 35. We're certainly below that tonight. We'll get down to 28 tonight, 32 Wednesday morning, down to 29 Thursday morning, 25 Friday morning and 32 Saturday morning. So our mornings are staying cold for a while and our are staying on the cool side with temperatures remaining below normal in the afternoons as well. 48 for the high today, the normal 56 low to mid 50 S Tuesday and Wednesday back to upper forties, Thursday and then low Fs on Friday. So a cooler weather pattern has moved in for the next several days. It's also very quiet weather for the next several days. We have mostly sunny skies through Saturday. A few more clouds around by Sunday, but only a 20% chance for rain.
