FEDERAL DATA SHOWS IN SOME AREAS OF ROCKY MOUNT OVER 90% OF HOUSEHOLDS HAVE INTERNET ACCESS. BUT IN MULTIPLE OTHER NEIGHBORHOODS, MORE THAN 40% OF HOMES DON'T HAVE ANY BROADBAND AT ALL. WHAT WE FOUND IS THAT WE JUST HAVEN'T COME INTO THE DETAIL AND THE CONNECTIVITY. WE DID HAVE QUITE FRANKLY, WAS DISPROPORTIONATE TO THEIR IS A WORLD, OF COURSE, IS NOT. THE MAYOR SAYS A NEW PROVIDER COULD BE THE ANSWER. BUT IT FEELS LIKE SOMEONE IS FOUND WAS THAT WE TURN IT RIGHT WAS STARTED ABOUT THE PROSPECT OF WELL, ROCKY MOUNT CELEBRATES NEIGHBORING COMMUNITIES WORRY ABOUT BEING LEFT BEHIND MEGAN LIVES FAMILY AS A HOUSE IN RULE NASH COUNTY, WHERE AND TIA DATA SHOWS MORE THAN 30% OF HOMES ARE WITHOUT INTERNET. HE SAYS THE COUNTY'S INVESTED 2 MILLION DOLLARS ALREADY HOPING TO BRING 90% OF RESIDENTS ONLINE BY 2025, IT IS THE COMMISSIONER IN 2 TO GET SERVICE TO EVERYONE IN THE LOCATION IN THE COUNTY. >> AND ALL CAUTION TO ATION IS ONLY UNDER SERVED AND I'M SURE AREAS OF THE COUNTY NEIGHBORING EDGECOMBE COUNTY IS TRYING TO DO THE SAME. Meteorologist Elizabeth Gardner, I'm tracking a front that's dropping in on our area this morning. We will end up seeing most of the rain between late morning and say late afternoon as this moves from north to south slowly across our area. I mean, even though we're looking at, you know, a decent coverage of rain here as it moves through the amounts, the totals that we actually see in the rain gauges are going to be pretty light. We're talking about less than 1/10 of an inch in most places. We'll pause it there at lunchtime and we're seeing some showers from Raleigh North through there at noon. It starts to slide southward during the afternoon. At three o'clock, we're drying out from Durham to Roxboro, but seeing some showers from Rocky Mountain to Goldsboro to Fayetteville to Southern Pines. By five o'clock, the rain is over in the triangle but continues to affect folks around Fayetteville, Clinton and Goldsboro. And by around seven o'clock, it has pushed east of our area. We take a look at Durham this morning. We're seeing mostly cloudy skies. Clouds are really starting to thicken up as that front gets closer to us, it's much warmer than it was yesterday. We're starting off with our temperatures in the fifties instead of the thirties that we saw yesterday. So these temperatures heading out are going to be anywhere from 15 to 20 degrees warmer than yesterday. So you don't need a big coat, but a jacket will feel comfortable again. Take along the umbrella too. If you're going to be out at any point today, especially late morning into the latter part of the afternoon, temperatures will be mild in the mid to upper seventies, but we'll have just a few light showers. Durham Bulls are in the middle of a home stand right now. And even though we do have some rain in the forecast, that rain will be out of here by the time we get to six o'clock in Durham, that may still be in our southern counties by that point, but it won't be in Durham any longer. Thursday and Friday as well as Saturday and Sunday. All looking nice and dry with some sunshine and game time. Temperatures in the low seventies, at least through Saturday is Saturday looking beautiful temperatures through the afternoon will be in the mid seventies under mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies. So looking pretty, it's a mild week, normal high 75 and that's what we're seeing through Saturday. But then we see 80 is returning for Sunday. That's not going to be a record. The record for Sunday is 90 but Monday 86 and then Tuesday, we climbed to 89 and the record is 90. So that one is definitely within the grasp. We could end up with a record high on Tuesday. It's the only wet day today. After that, we're dry and we'll see continued warming into early next week.
