RALEIGH, N.C. — The process of restoring a freight train to the tracks in Raleigh was completed early Tuesday, Norfolk Southern spokesman Robin Chapman said.

Seven cars slid off the tracks Sunday near the intersection of Capital Boulevard and Fairview Road. None of the cargo spilled and no one was injured, authorities said.

Crews repaired the crossing late Sunday and cleared the intersection early Monday.
