Deputies searching for man wanted for murder in Lee County

Lee County detectives are looking for a man wanted for murder from a fatal shooting in November.

SANFORD, N.C. — Lee County detectives are looking for a man wanted for murder from a fatal shooting in November.

On Thursday, detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Joseph Kelly for the murder of Randy Kelly.

Officers found Randy Kelly suffering from gunshot wounds at a home on Buckhorn Road on Nov. 29. Randy Kelly was 65.

Joseph Kelly was originally listed as a person of interest in the case and is now wanted for murder. The Sheriff's office said there's been no communication or sightings of Joseph Kelly since the shooting. Authorities consider him armed and dangerous.
