Deputies: Man flashed woman jogging at Fayetteville elementary school
FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — The Cumberland County Sheriff's Office said it has arrested a man Friday after he is said to have exposed himself at Sherwood Park Elementary School on Wednesday.

The sheriff's office said 31-year-old Tommy Lee Watson of Fayetteville, NC, was arrested for Attempted 2nd Degree Rape, 2nd Degree Kidnapping, and Indecent Exposure.

The sheriff's office Thursday had said deputies were investigating a report of a man flashing his genitals to a woman at Sherwood Park.

Deputies said they responded just after 6 p.m. on Wednesday after receiving a report from a woman who had been jogging around the school. The woman told deputies the man charged at her and demanded she get on the ground.

The woman was able to run away and flag down a Fayetteville police officer who was in the area on an unrelated call. The Fayetteville Police Department tried to use a K9 to find the man but was not able to.

Watson was booked at the Cumberland County Detention Center, where he is being held on a $100,000.00 secure bond.
