Deputies searching for man accused of flashing woman jogging at Fayetteville elementary school

The Cumberland County Sheriff's Office is investigating a report of a man flashing his genital to a woman at Sherwood Park Elementary School in Fayetteville.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — The Cumberland County Sheriff's Office is investigating a report of a man flashing his genitals to a woman at Sherwood Park Elementary School in Fayetteville.

Deputies said they responded just after 6 p.m. on Wednesday after receiving a report from a woman who had been jogging around the school. The woman told deputies the man charged at her and demanded she get on the ground.

The woman was able to run away and flag down a Fayetteville police officer who was in the area on an unrelated call. The Fayetteville Police Department tried to use a K9 to find the man but was not able to.

The man was last seen running towards Friar Avenue.
