Deputies: Fayetteville man assaulted 5-year-old with cellphone charger
A Fayetteville man has been charged after authorities said he assaulted his son with a cellphone charger.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A Fayetteville man has been charged after authorities said he assaulted his son with a cellphone charger.
Farmarris Keon Briggs, 39, was arrested Friday and charged with intentional child abuse inflicting serious bodily injury.
The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office said Briggs’ 5-year-old son had bruises and lacerations on his legs and stomach after Briggs hit the boy with the cellphone charging cable.
Briggs was released on $50,000 unsecure bond and is scheduled to appear in court Monday.
