<b>AYDEN, N.C.</b> — Pitt County investigators seized 1,000 DVDs containing child pornography from a suspect, the sheriff's office announced Friday.

George Madisson Venters, 50, of 4261 Lee St. in Ayden, was charged with 10 counts of second-degree exploitation of a minor. He was placed in the Pitt County Detention Center under a $1 million bond.

A spokeswoman for the Pitt County Sheriff's Office said that Venters was investigated by county agents, the State Bureau of Investigation and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
