Delta plane in route to New York lands at RDU after mechanical issue

N.C. — A Delta plane in route to New York from Florida landed without incident at Raleigh-Durham International Airport Friday evening because of a mechanical issue, a spokesperson said.
One person of the 92 passengers received medical attention.
The plane took off from Sarasota–Bradenton International Airport and was supposed to land at LaGuardia Airport.
Passengers were placed on a new plane that took off at 8 p.m. from Raleigh.
