Death investigation under way in Durham

— Durham police are investigating after a man's body was found Sunday afternoon in the woods behind 1701 Palmer St.

Officers said they responded to “an attempt to locate a deceased person call” at 1:53 p.m. Upon arrival, the officers found the body lying in the wooded area behind the residence. The man, whose name was not released, was pronounced dead at the scene.

No additional information was available.
