Volunteers with a nonprofit group are heading home after spending weeks in the Carolinas, helping in the search for a missing 22-year-old boater.

Wings of Hope, a search and rescue group out of Wisconsin, posted on social media that it had to make a hard decision, and end its involvement in the search for Tyler Doyle.

“We had to tell this loving family that there was nothing more we could do as a search and rescue group. My heart goes out to Tyler Doyle’s wife and family,” Wings of Hope posted on its Facebook page.

Wings of Hope provided sonar, drones and K9 units in the search.
