CARY, N.C. — The popular bar and arcade center Dave and Buster's will reopen at a new location at near the Cary Towne Center this month, the company announced Thursday.
The restaurant originally opened inside Cary Towne Center in 2013. Last year, Epic Games announced that it plans to turn the mall into global headquarters by 2024.

The first phase of the project includes an outdoor recreational area and parking. A 200-room hotel, retail and another 1.7 million square feet of office space are planned for later phases.

Epic wants to move a planned greenway from along Ivy Lane, on the east side of the site, and route it along Cary Towne Boulevard, Maynard Avenue and Walnut Street.

Dave and Buster's is relocating to the former Jumpstreet entertainment center location at 1111 Walnut St. It will open to customers on Monday, Jan. 17.
