Fayetteville Dogwood Festival to feature live music, carnival rides

The Fayetteville Dogwood Festival will take place at Festival Park on Ray Avenue from Thursday, April 27 through Sunday, April 30.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — The Fayetteville Dogwood Festival will bring rides, music, food and vendors to Festival Park this weekend.

The annual event is Thursday, April 27, through Sunday, April 30, and will include a midway with carnival games, thrilling rides and fair food, local and national bands, a vendor market and more.

Here's a breakdown of what's happening each day.

Thursday

Cork & Fork kicks off the festival. Tickets are $40 for single tickets or $75 for "date night" tickets. The event at Festival Park runs from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. so ticket holders can sip and taste from Fayetteville-area restaurants.

Friday

A three-night concert series kicks off Friday with Ashland Craft (8 p.m.) and David Nail (9:45 p.m.). There will be a Boom & Bloom fireworks show after the concert.

Festival grounds open at 5 p.m. with food vendors, the Midway and a kids zone. A local band will open at 6 p.m.

Saturday

Shop over 150 vendors at Festival Park throughout the day. Local music starts at 2 p.m.

There will also be attractors like a climbing wall, a mobile ax-throwing trailer and performances from Airborn Aerials, BMX Bike Shows and Ring Wars Carolina.

Saturday night, headliner rock bands Lit (7:45 p.m.) and Buckcherry (9 p.m.) take the stage.

Sunday

The festival's Car, Motorcycle and Truck Show will be held at the intersection of Green and Person streets. Local acts will continue at Festival Park starting at 2:30 p.m. followed by a 7 p.m. performances by Who's Bad: The Ultimate Michael Jackson Experience.

Tickets available for shows

"Best Seats in the House" tickets are available for Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. Tickets are $25 per person.
