RALEIGH, N.C. — There are a couple of Daddy-Daughter events coming up in the area.
For the second year in a row, Raleigh Parks and Recreation is offering a special Daddy-Daughter Date Night Box that features fun at-home activities. The boxes are in lieu of the city's regular Daddy-Daughter Dance, which was canceled due to COVID concerns.

The boxes are $15 each and are suitable for ages 3 to 16.

Registration is required because boxes are limited. You can register online through Jan. 31. Boxes can be picked up on Feb. 9 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Laurel Hills Community Center, 3808 Edwards Mill Road in Raleigh. Box pick-up night will include a special guest to hand out boxes, photo opportunities and more fun.

Dads should register for a box for each daughter participating.

In Cary, the annual Daddy-Daughter Dance will be held on Feb. 12 at the Herb Young Community Center, 101 Wilkinson Ave.
Registration is $25 per person and is open through Feb. 1. Participants receive a commemorative 5 x 7 photo.
