Cumblerland County schools consider earlier start
A Cumberland County schools administrator proposed changing the start time for classes in the fall, a move he said could save the district more than $300,000.
Posted — UpdatedFAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A Cumberland County schools administrator proposed changing the start time for classes in the fall, a move he said could save the district more than $300,000.
Associate Superintendent Tim Kinlaw presented his suggestion Tuesday to the school board's Auxiliary Services Committee.
Kinlaw’s proposal would alter the schedule at the following schools:
- Douglas Byrd Middle
- John Griffin Middle
- Ireland Drive Middle
- South View Middle
- Hope Mills Middle
- Max Abbot Middle
- E. Melvin Honeycutt Elementary
- E.E. Miller Elementary
- Rockfish Elementary
- C. Wayne Collier Elementary
- J.W. Coon Elementary
- Montclair Elementary
- Sherwood Park Elementary
- New Century International Elementary
- Elizabeth Cashwell Elementary
- Gallberry Farms Elementary
- William H. Owen Elementary
- Cumberland Road Elementary
- Honeycutt Elementary
