The Cleveland Clinic will provide cardiac surgery services at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
Under the agreement, both facilities will share clinical policies, treatment protocols and research opportunities.
The Cleveland Clinic, which is one of the largest private medical centers in the world, has several other satellite locations. It has been ranked No. 1 in the country by U.S. News & World Report's "America's Best Hospitals" for 12 consecutive years."
