DURHAM, N.C. — Crews will shut down N.C. Highway 147 Friday night to work on the R. Kelly Bryant Jr. Pedestrian Bridge over the highway, officials said.

Traffic will be rerouted onto Briggs and Alston avenues from 11 p.m. until 5:30 a.m. Saturday to give crews time to begin pouring the concrete decking on the new pedestrian bridge.

The highway will also be closed from 11 p.m. Monday to 5:30 a.m. Tuesday so crews can finish pouring concrete.
