Emergency crews responded to a "suspicious" fire at Club Emages, a drag club at 107 Swain St., early Tuesday, according to Fayetteville police.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Emergency crews responded to a "suspicious" fire at Club Emages, a drag club at 107 Swain St., early Tuesday, according to Fayetteville police.
A passing motorist spotted smoke in the area and called 911 around 4 a.m., according to police.
"The building suffered extensive damage to the roof area, and interior investigations have been delayed until a collapse team can stabilize the remaining portions standing," police said in a statement. "Initial observations suggest the fire may have started on the exterior of the building."
