A fire that started Tuesday morning at a probation and parole office in Durham is considered suspicious, officials said.

DURHAM, N.C. — A fire that started Tuesday morning at a probation and parole office in Durham is considered suspicious, officials said.

At 4:45 a.m., firefighters with the Durham Fire Department responded to a fire at the office located at 119 Orange Street. Crews quickly extinguished the fire, which started on the first floor of the three-story building.

According to officials, the building suffered fire, smoke and water damage throughout the first floor. There was no damage to the second or third floors.

No injuries were reported. The fire is under investigation.
