DURHAM, N.C. — Firefighters responded to Durham's City Hall Plaza on Wednesday morning after smoke was reported in the area.

Multiple fire trucks were at the scene before 4:30 a.m., and firefighters were going into the building across from City Hall, close to Bull City Brewery and Spanglish, a Puerto Rican restaurant.

At 5 a.m., fire crews confirmed the fire was coming from an oven at Spanglish. Two people inside the building said they heard loud alarms and evacuated.

Firefighters told WRAL News no one was hurt.

There was some smoke damage in kitchen, crews said.
