A portion of Holly Springs Road is closed on Tuesday in both directions as a result of a reported gas leak.

<b>HOLLY SPRINGS, N.C.</b> — A portion of Holly Springs Road was closed on Tuesday in both directions as a result of a reported gas leak.

According to officials, the gas leak was started by a small fire in a pump house near Sunset Lake, resulting in the closure of Holly Springs Road near Sunset Fairways Road. Witnesses reported a strong smell near the area.

Officials said the leak is contained and that the road will reopen shortly, confirming that the leak is not an emergency at this point.
