Crash damages bridge along I-240 in Asheville
A truck crashed into an overpass bridge in Asheville along Interstate 240 west near Montford Avenue on Friday afternoon, officials said.
Posted — UpdatedASHEVILLE, N.C. — A truck crashed into an overpass bridge in Asheville along Interstate 240 west near Montford Avenue on Friday afternoon, officials said.
Both lanes of I-240 were shut down while crews worked to repair the bridge.
Photos from the scene show a truck with damage to its front and a squashed sedan flipped over on its side. It appears that the truck was hauling the sedan,
Officials have not yet said if anyone was injured in the crash.
